Day 1 Of BAOCIt was the first day that i am going to Ngee Ann poly as a student there and i was really excited that day. I woke up early in the morning and took bus 154 to school. It was quite a long journey, about 1 hr, including waiting time. When i reached there, i was like...totally lost. The campus was so big and i was alone so i just tried my luck by recalling the way to the convention centre from the last time i went during open house. Luckily, my memory hasn't failed but there are so many entrances. I tried to open some entrances but they were locked! I became anxious cos i was going to be late. I went to look for people to ask and in the end, i managed to get there in time. Phew!
After we registered our name, we went into the convention centre and listened to talks and watched some performances. We, the freshies, were very quiet cos we all dunno each other then all of us just kept silent. The performances were great, especially the BA star and the NP string. The star's voice was great, ha sthe standard to go for competition. Anything was quite okay except for the talks given by some of the lecturers and was glad that it wasn't very long. The whole thing only took about 2 hours plus. The MCs of the day were also entertaining.
Our seniors then took us to the examination hall where there were a place which belonged to one and only ALOHA LUAU. There were lots of decorations being put up, could see that a lot of efforts have been put up for this orientation camp. After that, we were divided into two groups, Aloha 1 & 2. I belonged to Aloha one. Sin Ee was our SC. As this was our first day in school and all of us were totally strangers, we played some ice-breaking games. One game which i called it the toilet paper game. We were supposed to tear as many sheets of toilet papers as we like and for the no. of sheets, we were supposed to say the no. of things of ourself to the group. Another game was to remember the names of the group members. I enjoyed those games.
As for the cheering part, haha, dare not say much. Our group was not very enthusiatic and the SBs kept on cheering and wanted us to follow them but we were like...errr... you know...like very sian like that. It was so bad that the SBs almost gave up on us. But gradually we became better. That's good news, isn't it?
When the whole thing was about to end, Sin Ee, our SB, chose some of us for a dance performance to represent aloha luau. Jun & I were the only girls then so we began to click with each other. The whole dance preparation was quite fun. While we were waiting for the second batch and three batch of dancers to come, we practised our first part and we played animal game. It was fun and each of us became closer to one other. The whole thing ended at 6 plus. I was so tired...
