The Heart Speaks

We thrashed things out yesterday. Everything.
It was yet an unhappy incident which both of us would not want to remember.
But i decided to pen it down, cos i want to remind myself not to repeat history, again.

i was unhappy the whole day. he knew why without asking. i knew it too.
But i refused to say it out, no matter how hard he asked me.
Maybe because i know right from the start that i was unreasonable on my part.
Plus, there were some other minor things contributing to the factor as well.

Talking at night was something i wasn't looking forward to, for once.
The words 'break up' shot off of his mouth, just like that.
i was utterly heartbroken at that point, but i didn't voice it out.

We just hung up the phone, both unhappy.

I refused to pick up his calls, no matter how persistent he was.
10 calls.
I picked up none.
Cos i was too hurt to hear his voice...

Yet, i received a sms from him:
'i just wanted to tell you that...i love you...'

He just called to tell me this.
My heart melted when i saw this sms.
i lost the battle to my tears.

3 words.
short and simple.
Yet,
so powerful.

And it's these 3 words that made me pick up the phone and call him.

i'll always love you, no matter what. (:

sometimes, we get into fights and quarrelled over small little things.
but all these are worthwhile,
cos it made us cherish each other even more and never let us forget how important we are to each other.
What's more to love you even more deeply.
