SHOPPING SPREE!

yesterday was really a shop-till-drop day, as i had to make up for all the shopping that i had missed out during the few weeks of real hard mugging.

i bought:

1. little black dress (finally found one i fell in love with at the first sight.) -- $47.00
2. a cute little piglet. to reward myself for the hard work. both char and i got one each! --$6.90
3. 2 cardigans (going at 2 for $30)
4. 4 rubber bands and a rose ring to go along with my dress. ---$7.90

Total: $100

that's called accrued expenses.

i spent so much even before i worked at my uncle's shop for two days. Now my account has so little money, again!

okay, i am getting lazy to blog about everything that happened yesterday, so i shall just summarised for you people.

yesterday, i was really lost when i walked around orchard. kept getting the directions wrong. i thought we were supposed to alight a stop after orchard in order to get to far east.

it was my first time stepping into borders yesterday. you guys must understand that i don't read, so what's the point of going to a book store right? unless i am really looking for a book or something. so yesterday i went there to look for pencil case, but there wasn't any that caught my eye. it's okay, ten bucks saved!

We spent hours at far east. which was a miracle for me. cos i seldom go there to shop.
i was really in the mood of having a great shopping spree, which means i need to buy some things! so i went to try on a tank top with a eye catching red flower. it's nice but not worth the money. while i was waiting for char to try her shirt, my necklace (actually it's my sis necklace) suddenly broke and the beads dropped everywhere on the floor. lucky for me, my sis didn't scold me when she got to know about her necklace.

it was really really embarrassing. thank god for the two kind shop assistants who helped me to pick up every single beads, even though i didn't get the shirt in the end!

while walking around, just when i arrived with the mindset that i won't be able to get anything for that miserable day, after such a thing had happened. my little black dress caught my eye!!!! i've been searching for dresses for the longest time, after i didn't manage to get the summer dress from zara.

the dress is simple and nice, classy but somehow casual, which fits my criteria. and it states there 15% off that makes it even more attractive. for the first time, i just went to ask the sales assistant for the price. second time, after we walked around a few shops, i went back again to ask her if it's after discount or before. for the third or forth time, i went to try it on before deciding if i should buy cos if i buy, i wouldn't be able to buy anything else for the rest of the day.
char and the sales assistant said i look not quite bad in the dress while i find it weird, like a pregnant woman, perhaps i am not used to seeing myself in a dress. the last time was during my sec 4 prom night.

after thinking for seemingly forever, and much persuasion from char, i decided to buy it. and i am not regretting. cos the material is good and i don't think i am able to find a dress with this kind of price which was considered quite cheap.though my sis just told me that she saw a similar one seeling at BYSI for only $45. it's okay. i still like mine! even both my sisters said it's nice! just need a little alteration to the dress will do.

we happened to chance upon the flea market outside cine again. nothing much this time round though i saw a half cardigan going at only $5!

after which, we went to more than words and i showed char the piglet that i've been eyeing on! even a non-craze fan piglet of her finds it cute! and to buy it, she specially went down to withdraw money to pay for it (cos the minimum purchase to use nets is $20) imagine how cute it was! So both of us decided to get one each.

after buying, we were having a debate of winnie the pooh and friends, about whether they are girls or boys or gays! haha. so funny lah.

then we went to wisma to continue shopping where we noticed a newly opened shop, just next to forever 21. it's called COTTON ON.

it's opened by caucasians i think, since most of the employees there were ang mohs. anyway, it's something like a topshop plus other middle class brand of shop. the shirts, skirts, dresses, shorts they sold were all so freaking cheap and the quality of the material is not too bad. the designs were almost similar to topshops or those, except the prices are like half of them. i swear! some of the designs are exactly the same!

so many people flocked there and there was a huge crowd inside the shop that made the walking here and there a little of a problem.

i bought myself two cardigans. OH! and it's my first time getting into one fitting room with char. Both of us were so embarrassed cos nto used to it mah. actually, i am quite open cos during my secondary school days, about 10 to 15 girls would squeeze into one handicap toilet, stripped off our shirt and changed after our run.

after i got my pay, i am going there again! to buy all the things in the shop! just kidding. lol.

you gusy should really go check it out. the service is good, the staffs even went to each of the changing room to knock and asked if the sizes are okay and all.

but be prepared when you go there, cos they don't accept nets! just cash, visa and credit cards.

that made us so troublesome yesterday cos we had to walk all the way back to orchard mrt station to withdraw money, which couldn't dispense any cash out so we had to walk even further to nears scotts road to withdraw the money.

No wonder people say retail therapy never fail to make one happy! ((:
