My first surprise of the day was lunch! He said i could choose between The Duck Rice and Mad Jack. Of course i chose the latter one. Since i've been craving it for century years!
We took an one hour bus trip down to Bukit Timah. By then, both of our stomachs were growling. We ordered lots of food. 2 gigantic plates of Black Pepper Chicken with Fries, One plate of sizzling-but-expensive nice nuggets [10 nuggest cost us $8!! daylight robbery. Even mac don't sell it so ex!] 1 glass of whatever and mine was a smoothie. [strawberry, blueberry and raspberry, i think] it's quite all right except that the drink wasn't icy at all, which makes it a little sick if drink too much.
We were too full by then, to the point that we even suggested watching Nemo for a while before going to Island Creamery for my surprise no. 2!
Imagine how bloated we were that i could even forego the mudpie from island creamery that i have been pestering him for. But it turned out to be a total disappointment. there's no difference from a chocolate ice cream...then i pushed all the 3/4 remained mudpie to my baby to finish it up, though he was very full too.
After the mudpie, we took 855 down to Vivo! Helped his cousin to check out some stuff before we went for a little shopping [gloves for his japan trip & his prom stuff]
We went to Zara, G2000 to check out jackets for him to fit the rest of his clothes but he was still as picky as ever. Couldn't find one which he likes. But i liked one though, from Zara. It's beige and when he wore it on, he looked extremely stunning and good looking. Like a successful business man, but just a little short to fit the bill!
I was trying as hard as i could to convince him to buy it cos it's really nice and the price was reasonable but he refused. He wanted a more casual one and the size doesn't really fit him just nice as well.
Okayys! Then we went to BUILD-A-BEAR!!!! ((((:
I was so excited about it that i started talking to him about it weeks before, that i wanted to buy one on the day when we go out to celebrate our anniversary.
And so we went in, choosing THE bear off the rows of the OTHER bears. There wasn't much variety to choose from either, cos there's only one non-furry type that my mum won't complain when i bring it home. Not that she wouldn't scold me for bringing yet another bear home..opps!
Then from the column filled with the bear i wanted, i chose one out of the million[exagerrated number!] cottonless bear to be MINE!
Next, we moved on to another station - the voice station. There are many types of sound already available in there but most of them were out of stock. it's okay, since i already told my boy that he's going to record his very own voice into the recorder to place it in the bear's paw.As to what he said in the recorder, it shan't be revealed.
Thirdly, the most crucial part of building a bear. STUFFING COTTON!!! i pressed my leg against a paddler that allowed the cottons to be stuffed inside my bear bear from his butt and the person helping me was turning him upside down, to ensure that every part of him is stuffed. After that, i was told to choose a heart for my bear from a box of them and made a wish for him.
By then, my bear was COTTONED-ON!!(: I brought him to another station to brush him with air. it's quite embarrassing, you know. SUch a big kid doing such a kiddy stuff in front of the staffs and some kids around.
The most difficult part came. To not let our bear be naked around the house, we decided to buy clothes for him. it's the most difficult task on earth! and we had to consider the pricing of the clothes as well.(their clothes are very expensive okie? more expensive than what i bought for my pooh bear!) & baby isn't helping much cos he's leaving the task to me to handle it alone (cos he said i was experienced in buying clothes for bears).
i think we spent about 30 mins or so, just trying to find a matching clothes for him. yes, it's a him and not a her. Cos boyfriend is going to the army soon, and this bear is supposed to replace his place until he gets back. That's the reason why i wanted him to record his voice too.
& that's why, being a boy bear doesn't help much in choosing the clothes either. Since the variety of clothes are greatly reduced, compared to if you decide your bear to be a girl.
I saw some really cute clothes, like boxers for bears?! and those different costumes as well like NBA, soccer, rugby attire, bathrobes....etc etc. There's one really adorable skirt for the bear, too bad i couldn't buy it for my bear, unless i've decided to change its sexual orientation.
I guess one of the staff couldn't stand us too, for choosing so long that she offered her help so many times that we kept rejecting her. we took so long that we were still choosing after a pair of kids, who came in after us, had already finished the whole process of building their bears.
SO in the end, after much attempts of pulling and struggling with the clothes, we decided to dress him with JUST a vest, with nothing below!
Finally, we went to register for our bear. His birth certificate and his name. The great thing about building a bear is that when your bear gets lost, you will be able to get it back if the person takes it to the build-a-bear shop to return.
We took a while to think about his name, before we came up with.......SMELLY!!! since i always call my boyfriend by that name. Don't ask me how he got that nickname! =p
& now, SMELLY WAS CREATED & BORN INTO HIS our WORLD!!! (:

After spending so much time on making smelly [Ew!], we went for dinner at Dian Xiao Er, since baby boy doesn't want to eat anymore western food. It's our first time and the queue was quite long. We waited for quite a while before we had our seats.
While waiting, there's a place where the person would cut up the duck for serving and we were observing it. I thought it was supposed to be a place where it would make people's appetite bigger by looking at how heavenly it seems to taste like.
Somehow i feel otherwise. The duck was placed in a pit and grilled (or whatever it's called). When it's taken it out, the whole duck was like dripping oil!!!! i think it could almost filled up one 500ml bottle from a duck! and the oil was splashed all over the glass where the customers look at.
okayy, enough of gross stuff. The ambience was nice. We could see the sea and the sentosa across. plus the service was good, dishes were served shortly after we were settled out. We had one bowl of Lotus Soup(our favorite), one big plate of duck which tastes really heavenly, despite the disgusting scene saw earlier. And one plate of Fried Man Tou.
Full and satisfied, we went across the island to sentosa! That's where he gave me his present on the beach.

He came to school to send me home and to get his presents as well. Cos i couldn't finish doing his presents on time!
