Nerdy Nerd Nerds 0.0jasmine's reading. too good to be true huh?But it's a fact! (:Okay, it was a little unbelievable for me too, initially, but after that i thought i might not be such a lazy bum after all. =pMaybe there's some bookworm virus running through my bloodstream that makes me a nerd now. After work, i had this sudden urge to go to the library to borrow some books which i have been wanting to read long ago, but i just couldn't bear to part with my money for these books.&because my library card was stolen... i smsed the goodie guy, Kevin, for his library card.(:So i went to his workplace to say hello! to him and look for some of the book titles at the same time.it turned out to be a wasted trip to the library. All the Jodi Picoults novels - 14 to be exact, were all OUT ON LOAN. Let's do some Mathematics here.14 novels x 5 (let's assume there's an average number of this for each book) = 70 books!TOTALLY UNAVAILABLE!?All i could say was that i was that lucky for that day huh?So i was so disappointed and frustrated about not being able to get Jodi Picoult's that i forgot to find those books by other authors! ARGH!I walked back to popular again, to return the unusd library card to kevin. On the way there, i was being spotted by this guy who was holding a clipboard and pens. To avoid him seeing me as a target customer, i decided to feign ignorance and walked my way through.Passing by him, i was greeted by a "hello, LITTLE MISS BOSSY!" which was apparently quite loud then. (i was wearing the shirt that day.)i got quite embarrassed, i smiled back and ran off!Since the probability of borrowing books from the library is so low(even though now it's the peak period for exams) and i never like borrowing books from there in the first place. The fines, the time limit (i always take my own sweet time to read), experiencing the sense of disappointment when the book you want wasn't available...yada yada.I BOUGHT THREE BOOKS.That costs me almost 50 BUCKS!I guess it's worth it, considering i get a 10% discount with the help of Kevin. (:& he helped me to wrap the books as well, for free!YEAH!THANKS KEVIN!Then we went for dinner @ some hawker centre before heading home.
