MARINA BARRAGE. RESERVOIR IN THE CITY.

'i like to move it, move it.

you like to move it, move it.

She like to move it, move it.

WE LIKE TO, MOVE IT!'

Yes yes yes!!!!

We went to catch Madagascar 2: Escape to Africa! =D

Baby came to pick me up at twelve, reached Marina at one-ish and we had a really quick lunch at Pizza Hut before heading to the african land! Lunch was really a rush, we waited quite long for the food to be served and there's so much to eat! But thanks to the 20mins trailers and commercials, we managed to make it in time!

Madagascar 2 was really funny, entertaining and cute! The movie would definitely make you wanna move it with the animals! =D Go catch it k?

After the movie, we walked around for a while (went all the way to suntec city for my pudding milk tea) before taking the train down to Marina Bay for the first time in our entire life!

From there, we took a shuttle bus down to the 15th reservoir in Singapore - Marina Barrage. You could imagine the crowd there. And we were really excited exploring the reservoir!

MM Lee's vision came true.

we could see the singapore flyer from there

the dam before it's open.

a very old boat

the sky was really getting dark.

we were lucky enough to see the water gushed through when the dam was open.

it's really magnificent!

you could notice the colour difference.

it would take 2 years for the reservoir to become a fresh water area,

with the current opening of the 4 dams daily.

(there are 9 of them, but only 4 are in use)

so cuttteee!

really pretty, huh?

flow water flow.

everyone was surrounding the place.
& the place was really windy when the water flows out.
Some people even went kite-flying and picnic there.

near nightfall.

us.

After exploring the barrage, we went to the exhibition hall to learn more about the new reservoir.

history.

his anti-photo is acting up again

the singapore map.

there's a place where it's decorated like a galaxy and the place is really really pretty.

We spent almost 3 hours at Marina Barrage before going back to Marina Bay again. From there, we explored our way to Lau Pa Sat. It was only then that i realised Marina Bay was actually very near my work place and Raffles Place. We took a 10 mins walk and we found ourselves at Lau Pa Sat!
Dinner was really sumptuous. We had 20 sticks of satay from the famous Satay Club which i've always wanted to try and also ordered Stingray as well. Then it was home sweet home.
=D
