Biography Letters Back-in-Time Hello!

♥teacher for a day

i just came back from my cousin's tuition centre, teaching the primary 1 kids Mathematics. It was a one-time kinda thing.

The whole idea came about when i received the letter from MOE a few days ago and my dad called up my cousin (who used to be a teacher) to ask her more about teaching. We chatted for a while, asked how's a teacher life is like and she offered to let me try out at her tuition centre to see if i really like teaching. & there, i became a tuition teacher for a day.

Had to wake up pretty early and head down to clementi. Thanks for my quite good sense of direction, i managed to get there without much effort. :) When i reached there, my cousin briefed me about the lesson and then we went off for a quick lunch. I was quite excited and nervous actually, it was my first time tutoring in a tuition centre afterall.

But it wasn't scary at all. The children were very cute and quiet at first. Perhaps it was because they were still unfamiliarize with me yet and hence the silence. Everyone was doing their work until 45 minutes later....

HAVOC. TOTALLY!

I'm serious. At first i thought how difficult could it be, it's just 4 kids. Primary 1 somemore. Should be easy to handle. Never did i imagine that they could be so mischievous! They ran around the classroom, playing with rubber bands and even attempting to shoot people with it. They kept raising hands and asking me how to solve this and that questions. Not that i was unwilling to help but each of them was doing the same thing, at the same thing. And the worse thing was that, they didn't even bother reading the questions sometimes.

Overall, it was still a nice experience. It was quite fun and enjoyable.

After that, met up with yz (haven't met up with him for ages!) to get back my AFA FRS book which he borrowed from me. It was nice meeting up with him again. We sat down at Mos Burger, drinking our milk tea which i got a treat from him and talking about the old times and planning about our luau outing! :)
